“Elvis’ Flaming Star” de Pond, 21º #antilunes de Los Mundos.

Desde las antípodas traemos un extraño y peculiar temazo de la mano de Pond. Este estuvo a punto de ser nuestro #antilunes de la pasa semana pero se impuso el “Baby don’t you lie to me!”, de The Fratellis como 20º #Antilunes. Hoy volvemos a la carga con un tema y un vídeo que no puede dejar indiferente a nadie.

Si alguien se pregunta que quién narices son Pond hay que decir que son un grupo australiano de Perth, sí, de esta guisa tan extraña estamos últimamente en lo musical. Pond son una banda de rock Psicodélico conformada inicialmente por Nick Allbrook "Paisley Adams", Joseph Orion y Jay Watson, junto con Kevin Parker (Tame Impala) a la batería y Jamie Terry (The Silents) en el bajo en directos. Todo un elenco de figuras.

 

“Elvis’ Flaming Star” se incluyó en el disco que el pasado otoño publicaron los australianos 'Man It Feels Like Space Again'. La canción evoca a Laura, una joven solitaria, que acude a fiestas sola y a la que los Pond quieren traer a Elvis de vuelta para que las cosas le vayan mejor. El vídeo merece la pena, es una orgía de psicodelia y fotografía de los 80 muy a lo Bowie.
